"Die Kunst ist der nächste Nachbar der Wildnis"*

steht in silbernen Buchstaben der orange gestrichenen Mauer. Ein paar Schritte weiter wachsen Birken und Robinien aus stillgelegten Gleisen. Das Metall ist von saftigem Moos überzogen. In der Lokhalle des ehemaligen Berliner Rangierbahnhofs, der in den 40er Jahren täglich über 130 Güterzüge verschoben hat, hängen auf einer Leine rote und weiße Tücher. Vielleicht sind es Requisiten der Shakespeare Company Berlin, die hier am Abend zuvor noch Romeo und Julia gegeben hat.

"Art is the closest neighbor to wilderness"**

is imprinted in silver letters on the orange-painted wall. A few steps further, birches an locusts grow from abandoned tracks. The metal is covered with juicy moss. In the engine shed of the former Berlin marshaling yard, which daily moved over 130 freight trains during the 40s, are hanging red and white clothes on a line. Perhaps they are the props of the Berlin Shakespeare Company, who gave Romeo and Juliet the night before.
